What cookies Flowtrail uses and why.
Last updated: May 2026
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser when you visit a website. They allow sites to remember your session, preferences and other state across page loads. Cookies are not programs — they cannot carry viruses or access files on your device.
Flowtrail uses essential cookies to keep you signed in and to maintain your session. Without these, the application cannot function. They are set when you log in and cleared when you log out or your session expires.
These cookies do not track you across other websites and are not used for advertising purposes.
We may use lightweight preference storage — within your browser's local storage rather than cookies — to remember UI preferences such as your last active view or sidebar state. This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.
We may use basic analytics to understand how the product is being used — for example, which features are commonly visited and where errors occur. Any analytics we use are configured to minimise personal data collection and are not used to build individual profiles.
We do not use third-party advertising networks or behavioural tracking cookies.
When you go through Stripe's checkout to subscribe, Stripe may set its own cookies as part of their payment processing. Those cookies are governed by Stripe's privacy policy.
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. The steps vary by browser — search for "manage cookies" alongside your browser name for instructions.
Blocking essential cookies will prevent you from signing in to Flowtrail. Non-essential preference storage can be cleared without affecting your account.
